David Licauco commemorates a significant milestone as he celebrates ten years in the entertainment industry. In a feature presented by Athena Imperial, David opened up about how he never initially envisioned a career in showbiz.

"I thought it was a distant idea. Growing up, I was focused on basketball. Later, I considered pursuing business after graduation. But then the opportunity in showbiz came, so here I am," he shared.

Starting from humble beginnings, David reflects with appreciation on the minor roles that paved the way for his success. "There were roles where I was just walking or had a few lines. If I hadn't embraced those parts, I wouldn’t be where I am today," he explained.

He also recounted a pivotal moment from his youth when he failed to make his school's varsity basketball team at age 11. This setback has fueled his passion and determination ever since. "Because of that, I became passionate about everything I do. It pushed me to aim higher, and I hope that young version of me is proud," David expressed.

Looking ahead, he aspires to work with acclaimed actors such as Joshua Garcia, whom he praised as an outstanding talent. He also expressed his desire to collaborate with Kathryn Bernardo, Dingdong Dantes, and shared sentiments about missing working with Dennis Trillo. "And of course, Barbie," he added.

Joy Marcelo, Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s First Vice President and David’s first manager, offered praise for his professionalism. "He may appear carefree and jovial, but he is deeply serious about his craft. He constantly seeks to learn, asking questions to directors and co-actors alike. I am very proud of him; Sparkle is proud too," she stated.

Currently, David is preparing to star alongside Jillian Ward in the upcoming project "Never Say Die." The cast also includes Kim Ji Soo, Richard Yap, Gina Alajar, Raymart Santiago, Angelu De Leon, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Analyn Barro, Tanjo Villoso, and Michelle Dee.
