Mayor Nieri T. Flores officially accepted the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) results during a formal turnover ceremony held by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-La Union earlier today. The event was attended by Vice Mayor Reynaldo J. Flores, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, municipal department leaders, Barangay Captains, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and PSA-La Union officials led by Chief Statistical Specialist Dr. Danites E. Teñido, PhD.
This significant occasion marked a key development for the municipality of Naguilian. Mayor Flores highlighted the critical role that CBMS data plays in facilitating evidence-based governance. The detailed household-level information enables local government units to craft targeted poverty alleviation initiatives, develop responsive policies, and effectively allocate resources to meet the specific needs of its residents.
Developed as a technology-enhanced system, the CBMS offers precise and disaggregated local data designed to strengthen Naguilian’s capabilities in inclusive planning and sustainable development. The data is expected to serve as a cornerstone for the municipality's strategic interventions aimed at improving the well-being of every household within the community.
