The long-running comedy show "Bubble Gang" closed its 30th anniversary celebrations with a grand finale aired on Sunday, spotlighting prominent figures from the entertainment industry. The episode featured surprise guest appearances by Kapuso journalist Emil Sumangil and comedian Vice Ganda, alongside returning original cast members Diana Zubiri and Maureen Larrazabal.
One of the standout moments was Emil Sumangil’s unexpected cameo in the parody sketch "Agresibo," inspired by his own show "Resibo." Paolo Contis portrayed a character named Emil Maangil, mimicking Sumangil’s distinct reporting style while attempting to mediate a dispute between characters played by Faye Lorenzo and Maureen Larrazabal. The sketch reached a peak when the real Emil appeared amid the audience, leading to a humorous exchange that delighted viewers:
"Kilala din kita," Emil said.
"Oo pero ikaw ang OG kuya," Paolo replied.
They concluded the segment by reciting the iconic "Agresibo" catchphrase together, with Emil expressing his support for the parody.
Diana Zubiri reprised her legendary role as Sang'gre Danaya in the "Supermamshie" sketch, where a group of playful superheroes—Super Duper Momshie (Paolo Contis), Thunder Momshie (Betong Sumaya), Super Popshie (Kokoy De Santos), Mini Momshie (Buboy Villar), Nakshie Momshie (Matt Lozano), and Super Momshie (EA Guzman)—rallied to defend the oppressed. The scene culminated with Danaya’s dramatic entrance, wielding her arnis sticks to rescue Kelvin Miranda’s character, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Adding to the humor, Esnyr, known from "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," impressed with her natural comedic flair in a sketch featuring Chariz Solomon. Portraying fans auditioning for "Bubble Gang," their characters engage in a body-swap mishap leading to a lighthearted reconciliation after missing their auditions.
Vice Ganda made a highly anticipated appearance alongside Michael V in the "Sariwa Flowershop" segment. The two comedians exchanged witty banter over a bouquet of tulips in a comedic battle of words, enhanced by Chariz’s humorous interjections. Their dynamic reinforced the sketch’s comedic impact, concluding with the classic line by Michael V’s character, Mr. Assimo: "Hiyang-hiya naman ako sa 'yo noh!"
This finale marked a fitting conclusion to "Bubble Gang"’s three decades of comedic excellence, blending nostalgia with fresh entertainment—a tribute to its enduring appeal and evolution over the years.
