Authorities Arrest Two Drug Suspects, Seize P421,600 Worth of Illegal Drugs in Lanao del Sur

Law enforcement officials apprehended two individuals involved in illegal drug activities and confiscated methamphetamine valued at approximately P421,600 in Lanao del Sur, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, authorities confirmed on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, chief of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), identified the suspects as aliases Paks and Bakbak, both of whom are adults. The arrests took place on Tuesday, November 18, during a buy-bust operation in Beta village, Tubaran, Lanao del Sur.
During the operation, officers seized 62 grams of methamphetamine (locally known as shabu), buy-bust money, and drug-related paraphernalia from the suspects. Both the confiscated items and the detainees are currently held by the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office for formal documentation and further legal processing.
General De Guzman praised the prompt coordination and dedication of the law enforcement teams involved, attributing the success of the operation to their swift actions. He also urged the community to stay vigilant and continue supporting the government's campaign against illegal drugs and criminal activities to ensure public safety.
